While he missed out on a few games for Mumbai Indians, he returned in time before the tournament came to an end. Ahead of the ODI series between India and Afghanistan, Hardik Pandya will also be spending a week at the BCCI Centre of Excellence. This will help to ensure that the all-rounder is fit and ready for the series, or he needs to be rested.

According to the reports, Hardik Pandya will be reporting to the BCCI CoE today and spend a week there. With the ODI series starting from 13 June, the BCCI will get a clarity on his participation till 11 June.

Our Take

The fitness of Hardik Pandya has been a major concern for the Indian team. He was earlier injured during the Asia Cup 2025, and has suffered yet another injury in the Indian Premier League. Looking at the tight schedule the Indian team has in white ball cricket, it is necessary to have their premier all-rounder fit for the majority of those games. Along with that, the Indian team could not afford to have Pandya missing out on the series against England.
