England's recently-appointed Test captain Ben Stokes, as well as India's stand-in captain Jasprit Bumrah, have been on focus since the start of the fifth postponed Test between the two sides at Edgbaston. On Day 3 of the match, it was Bumrah who won the mini duel with a sharp catch diving forward.

India were in complete control on Day 3 of the fifth postponed Test match versus England until Jonny Bairstow's onslaught took place at Edgbaston. The hosts, led by Ben Stokes, resumed the day on 84/5 and added 65 more runs before losing their sixth wicket. Shardul Thakur, who is considered to have the 'golden arm' gave India the crucial breakthrough in his very first over of the contest. More importantly, the pirzed wicket was no one but Stokes himself.

However, it was Jasprit Bumrah, who is in charge for the first time as India's 36th Test captain, who should get the equal credit for Stokes' dismissal. Although a ball earlier, the newest Indian captain dropped a simple catch at mid-off, he did not do the same mistake again. In fact, it was quite a spectacular catch after Stokes slapped hard at him. The Englishman tried to clear over mid-off, but Bumrah dived to his left to complete the catch for sending him packing. With that, Stokes departed after scoring 25 off 36 balls.

Meanwhile, England raced to 218/6 after Stokes' wicket, with Bairstow being the aggresor, scoring 100 not out off 119 balls.

The England Cricket's social media handle shared Stokes' wicket, captioning: "A pretty special catch. It's been an enthralling morning."
