Team India Coach : Mahela Jayawardena distances himself from the post

Mahela Jayawardena took to Twitter to clarify rumors linking him to the Indian coaching job and said that although he was flattered by the speculation, he was not seeking a full-time position at the moment. The BCCI has extended the deadline for the applications to July 9th.
Ever since the resignation of Anil Kumble as India's head coach on Tuesday, a whole host of names have been linked with the possibility of being India's next coach including the likes of veterans such as Virender Sehwag, Tom Moody, Lalchand Rajput, and Dodda Ganesh.
There were also reports that former Sri Lanka captain Mahela Jayawardena was interested in the post. However, the 40-year-old distanced himself from the post with a tweet saying:

After his retirement from the Sri Lankan cricket team, Jayawardena has been involved with the various teams as a coach. This season he coached Mumbai Indians in IPL 2017. And under his guidance, the team won the coveted title for a record third time. He has also worked with the English cricket team as their batting consultant for a short period and is also involved with the Bangladesh Premier League franchise, Khulna Titans.
And his second tweet showed his commitment to both his current roles.
